Instrument Masterclass Days
Across 2025, Trinity Laban is launching a series of occasional weekend events aimed at specific young instrumentalists.
Come and spend an intensive and FREE day of music-making at Trinity Laban’s historic site in Greenwich, led by expert tutors.
Each day will end in a massed performance for everyone involved, and staff will also be hand to connect you to expert advice on auditions, applications, and careers.
Double Reeds

Join us at Trinity Laban for a FREE Double Reed Day open to oboe and bassoon players aged 11–18. Whether you’ve been playing for years or would like to start learning, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and explore exciting repertoire.
Led by Liz Fyfe and expert Trinity Laban woodwind teachers, the day will be an inclusive and inspiring environment to meet fellow double reed enthusiasts, develop your technique, and gain valuable insights into your instrument. The event features the Duck to Diva approach developed by Liz and Wells Cathedral School as part of their Mini to Mighty series, and will culminate in a massed double reed performance!

Join us at Trinity Laban for a day of FREE music-making across all brass instruments. Open to all confident young brass players aged 11+ – participants will be put into groups according to experience and instrument specialism. Led by Richard Henry (Trinity Laban, London Jazz Orchestra, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre) with a team of other professional musicians and students, the day will provide a fun, inclusive way to meet other players of your instrument, refine your technique and tackle some exciting repertoire.
